This document is obsolete. I didn't delete it merely because, aehmm, I
don't know why. Maybe for historical reasons.

However, I've just deleted (3 August, 1997) parts of this document in
order to not confuse you, dear reader ;-)

UPDATE (97/07/23):

Since static NAT seems to work well I've continued working on a different
field (that still uses address translation): load balancing using 
virtual servers. See

for an excellent description of what I mean (in fact, seeing a Firewall-1
presentation on the CeBIT this year is how I got the idea).

PS: port translation works in my development version (which is not yet the
one you can download !!!)
Don't ask me how usefull this feature is, it was just a few lines so I
addes it, maybe someone will find a use for it...
